Hoof Care Tips
Pick hooves out daily
In dry conditions use a moisturizing product such as Kevin Bacon, Effol or Hoof heal.
In very wet conditions use a hardening product such as Keratex hoof hardener
Don't apply products to the feet when you farrier is due to come out, they are much more effective if applied straight after shoeing
If your horse is footy on loosing a shoe wrap the foot and call your farrier
Use over reach boots: in muddy conditions, when jumping or if your horse is likely to over reach
If supplementing to improve quality then choose one with Biotin
Keep Regular Appointments with your farrier 5-7 weeks
